Fortnightly releases of lightweight, seasonal knits, each inspired by the golden age of detective fiction (which was also, of course, the golden age of modernist fashion, Art Deco style and an era of ground-changing innovation in many areas of technology and design). The collection is split evenly between smaller and larger projects (garments and accessories), all knitted in Kate’s flagship Milarrochy Tweed with the odd surprise along the way. There are eleven patterns in total (including the mystery shawl).2 A Mystery shawl knitalong!  Join us, as we traverse London from the West End to the dockside, unravelling the Goff Place Mystery as we go (1 clue every month for 4 months)3 A summer book club! Join us as we read 10 classic Margery Allingham novels together. To guide your reading, every fortnight, as a new mystery is introduced, you’ll receive a newsletter with a short introduction to the book, together with points for consideration (which you may wish to explore individually as you read, or collectively in discussion with other club members).4 A collection of illuminating essays! These entertaining long reads  (released fortnightly to be enjoyed alongside —and in-between—our book club novels) explore a wide range of exciting topics from knitting and couture in golden age detective fiction to Margery Allingham’s own creative passion for making her own clothes. For this part of the club, Kate is thrilled to be joined by a group of brilliant women, each of whom is an acclaimed author (as well as a Margery Allingham superfan). Our talented contributors include podcasters, fashion journalists, crime novelists and Margery Allingham’s own biographer. 5 A full-colour print book! including Kate’s design collection, the mystery shawl pattern, and all of the critical essays, shipped to any address worldwide. Please place a separate order for your books or yarn. Can I buy a subscription as a gift?Yes, but you’ll need to place a separate order, filling out the recipient’s shipping details and Ravelry name (where relevant). When does the club start?The first pattern is  released on Monday May 6th and the club will run till mid September. Detailed information about the timing and schedule of the club is included in your Welcome Pack.Can I buy a kit for the MKAL?Yes, these will be available later in April and will be shipped out in good time before the first MKAL clue. We will have several beautiful palettes for you to choose from, or feel free to devise your own.
