Hollow Vessel turned by John Cobb, from a Burbank Chestnut bred by Luther Burbank himself.
NOTE: dry arrangements only. Not intended to hold water.
The actual color is closest to the scale image with the coffee mug. Different monitors will show different shades.
The tree was transplanted from the Gold Ridge Farm to the Santa Rosa site when the Santa Rosa Avenue Gate was installed in the 1930s. We were forced to remove the tree in 2022 because of a fungus infection that destroyed the roots. We found local artisans who could turn the wood into useful and artistic keepsakes of Luther's work.
