Linen Couche - 31" x 1 yard

Product description

Couche is a thick linen cloth used to help bread dough keep its shape while it is rising. Never wash, just brush and let dry.
PLEASE NOTE: Our couche are cut from large rolls. There are 2 finished hems and 2 unfinished hems where they are cut so some fraying will occur. This is normal and the weave pattern of the couche is sturdy. Demonstrated in the following photo is couche that has had frequent daily bakery production use over many years. 
 

Cleaning: Shake off excess flour and gently scrape off any flour or dough residue using a bench scraper. Hang dry in between each use. Do not use unless totally dry! If you are to use water to wash off any stubborn spots, do NOT apply heat to dry as this will shrink the couche about 30%.
