Winter Roe Kit

Product description

Inspired by deer grazing under waves of mist on a snowy February afternoon, the Winter Roe Shawl features garter stitch in dynamic stripes and an elongated picot edge. 
Alternating rows of whisper-light mohair/ silk and drapey, toothy wool result in a shawl that is large but featherlight, warm but airy, fluid but a little bit grabby... these qualities, combined with a Faroese gore and V-shape that enable it to cradle the neck and remain in place, make Winter Roe an incredibly comfortable shawl to wear.
Finished dimensions: 250cm across the upper edge of the shawl and 60cm deep at centre

Original colourway: 1 x 100gm skein of Devonia (100% West Country wool; 388m/ 100gm), dyed with sumac and 5 x 20gm skeins of Whorl (72% kid mohair/ 28%  silk; 840m/ 100gm), dyed with cochineal, logwood, madder, oak and sumac

Local colourway: 1 x 100gm skein of undyed Earth  (a blend of Exmoor Blueface/ Zwartbles; 400m/ 100gm) and 5 x 20gm skeins of Whorl (72% kid mohair/ 28%  silk; 840m/ 100gm), dyed with cow parsley, nettle and oak
