The text and the works of art tell the story of the wonderful life of Darey Ann who lives in Suriname, but ends up in the Netherlands and China for some time during her adolescence. The story about Macusi and his wife is one of the stories told by her adoptive mother. It is a story about the virtue of silence. Macusi, a skilled Indigenous hunter, met his wife in the forest. She was actually a jaguar and this was a secret that he had to guard closely. He failed to do so, which ultimately caused him to lose his wife and son.'
