‘Sensation Mix’ Cosmos produces beautiful and sought after annual flowers in shades of soft pink, lilac, rose and white.
Offering lovely ferny foliage and large, single flowers which provide great contrast or background. They make for a gorgeous cut flower and will bloom all summer long.
It’s a delightful flower for garden beds and for pollinator plantings. Pinching out the tops in young seedlings will ensure bushy, tall plants more able to handle windy areas. It was an All America Selections winner in 1936.
SOWING:
Spring – Early Autumn
Sow Direct, or Transplant
Cosmos seeds are best sown in spring to early autumn. Seeds can be sown in trays for transplanting, or directly in place approx. 20 – 30 cm apart when soil temperatures are between 18°c – 25°c.
