The Iceberg Dress is a slinky long sleeved dress designed for knit fabrics. Striking and comfortable at the same time – this is an extremely quick sew, especially if you have an overlocker/serger – but don’t be put off if you don’t have one. It’s the perfect base for hacking to your hearts content - check out the links below for some inspiration. 
FIT
The fit is snug at the bust and hips with a bit a ease at the waist. 
 
VARIATIONS
The pattern is drafted as a maxi dress to sit to just above ankle length. It’s easy to chop to mid‑calf, knee or mini as desired. You could also shorten the sleeves to elbow or cap, or omit them entirely. Deepen the neckband, alter the neckline, add frills or ruffles – the possibilities are endless. LEVEL Easy for beginners, quick for the more experienced. This is a great introduction to sewing with stretch fabrics and learning how to sew a neckband.
FABRICA stretch fabric, such as wool, cotton or viscose jersey. A heavier weight fabric will be more flattering and hold the shape of the dress best. Ponte di Roma is an excellent choice.
For fabric 140cm/55” wide you will need:
All Sizes: 2.5m/2 3/4 yards
For fabric 150cm/59” wide you will need:
Sizes 6-16: 1.6m/1 3/4 yards
Sizes 16-22: 2.5m/2 3/4 yards
