Kohinoor Toison D’or Soft Pastel (Square) Sets
Toison D'or soft pastels are made from premium pigments and minimal binders for an intensely colored stick. They are slightly less fragile than other artist quality pastels, and hold up well to full coverage applications.  Their smooth, velvety laydown makes them well suited to blending and layering -- ideal for pastel paintings.  Each stick is wrapped in paper and cushioned in a foam insert. A final fixative is highly recommended.

Minimum Binder Content

Koh-i-noor Toison D'or Soft Pastel is made of extremely pure micro-pulverized natural substances on a calcium carbonate base. It forms a basic mixture with other additives and binding agents, into which colour pigments are carefully mixed. The use of a low binding element content ensures amazingly simple and silky strokes on paper or another medium.

Unique Colour Mixtures

The primary feature of these round pastels is that they are easily wiped off the surface, which aids in the spread of the colourful dust. This painting technique provides numerous options for changing the capacity and tone. We can easily achieve shades in the painting by smudging and erasing. Because of the low adhesion to the medium, toning and simple crossing are possible.

Lightfastness

Koh-i-noor Toison D’or Soft Pastel are extremely lightfast. The lightfastness of the pastels and dosed concentration influence the result as well as the durability of the artworks.
