I live and work in Maine, a hauntingly beautiful place of dramatic seasonal shifts. For the past several years, I've been collecting colors changing in the landscape as winter turns to spring, spring to summer, summer to fall and fall to winter. The colors in this painting are inspired by spring, new grass, dandalions, dried pine needles, wild violets, apple blossoms and maple bark.
